Pittsburgh Area Sporting Clays Shoot to Benefit USA’s Conservation Efforts

The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) will host its second annual Pittsburgh Area Sporting Clays Shoot, which brings together Union members, leaders, contractors and family members for a fun-filled day of outdoor recreation.

WHY:   
USA sporting clays shoots bring together local Union members and their families outside the workplace, raise imperative funding to support nationwide conservation programs such as USA’s Boots on the Ground, and promote the importance of building a sustainable country worthy of passing on to future generations to the nearly 800,000 Union workers in Pennsylvania.

Union Sportsmen Dine for Conservation in Dallas
Three hundred union sportsmen, contractors, leaders and special guests from the Lone Star State dined in the name of conservation during the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s inaugural Dallas Area Conservation Dinner held during National Hunting and Fishing Day on September 22.

Union Volunteers Inspire MN Youth at Outdoor Events
Nearly 150 union members, shooting enthusiasts and other guests—including Roofers President Kinsey Robinson, Governor Mark Dayton and Attorney General Lori Swanson—teamed up to support conservation at the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s (USA) 2nd Annual Roofers International Twin Cities Sporting Clays Shoot and Get Youth Outdoors Day on September 15 and 16 at Wild Marsh Sporting Clays in Clear Lake.

Union Volunteers Put Finishing Touches on Conservation Education Center
As part of a Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) Boots on the Ground project, volunteers from Painters District Council No. 30 helped put the finishing touches on a new facility that will host youth educational programs at the Torstenson Family Youth Conservation Education Center.

USA Welcomes Bricklayers as Charter Union
The International Association of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers (BAC) has signed on as the USA’s newest charter union, joining the ranks of the AFL-CIO and 10 of its affiliate unions, and offering all active and retired BAC members a no-cost USA membership.
