Solo Roosters

Hunting roosters solo? Take your time, and analyze the cover first. Try to work birds from thick cover to thin, or ideally, across cover breaks like mowed strips or plowed ground. Walk slowly, and stop often; talking to yourself in a normal voice, though sounding strange, can unnerve ringnecks and force them into flight.
