Hey everyone,
Here are a few pictures from my fishing trip I went on last week.  The fishing was unbelievable the first 2 days and then we had a big fly/bug hatch that killed the fishing on the lake.  The fish completely gorged themselves with bugs and wouldnt bite the rest of the week.  It didnt matter though because its all about relaxing!  And that we did.  We thouroughly enjoyed everyones company and sat around in the evenings to a fire and listening to the red sox.  It was just a great time.  I look forward to this trip every year and am so glad that my wife understands what it means to me.  Here are a couple pics for now and will post some more later.

Sounds like a good time Mike. I’m guessing Lake Trout? Is an awesome experience to catch one. Any empty PBR cans in the trash? Gonna make a cowboy hat out of them. Wait, don’t really need any help making them empty. LOL!

Mike,
sound’s like you need to carry a fly rod with you when you go out , hatch wouldnt have bothered you so much ...nothing like some top water action when trout fishing….

These lake trout are average fish and what you can expect if you go. I took this video on the day of our fish fry.  We kept 15 lake trout that day.  16 People to feed.  We didnt go hungry let me tell ya.

We stayed at the north end of the lake which is very remote.  This day we decided to travel the 9 miles down the lake to grand lake stream.  It was noon time so the fishing wasnt the best but I watched a few salmon being caught.  I shot this video specifically for Ed.  I know he is going to like.

Ed,
I would highly recommend the place we stayed at but only if youre fishing the lake.  To fish grand lake stream, you would be so much better off to stay on the stream.  There are many places to stay depending on how much you are willing to spend.  If you do a search under Grand Lake Stream, Maine…...you will have everything you need.  This place has alot of history.  Theodore Roosevelt himself spent alot of time there.  All salmon that are stocked in Maine are raised at the hatchery in Grand Lake Stream.  It is truly a beautiful place.

I took this picture of the sunset while we were trolling back to the camp.  The camp we stay in looks towards the east, and I wasnt up early enough to see the actual sunrise. LOL Stayed up too late with the boys.  No, really, we were out on the water by 6 oclock every morning but the sun was already beaming into the camps.

I tried to take a picture of the full moon we also had with us that week.  That could be another reason why the fishing turned off.  Does anyone else believe in that?

Ok, here are the last 2 vids Im gonna put on here tonight.  It really takes a long time to upload them on you tube.  these are the shortest clips I have!!

The first is more fly fishing at Grand Lake Stream.  There were 2 fish caught by these guys and one looks like a very nice salmon.  I mean, it really fill his net quite nicely.  Its hard to tell from the distance that I took the video.

The second is of a storm that crept up on us while we were at camp.  Just seconds before I picked up the camera, the lake was like a mirror.  Sorry in advance if you get sick watching this one.  I was moving quite a bit but Im sure you will understand.
