New to USA and Im really enjoying it. Was wondering if anyone could help with a deer lease for my family and myself. I live near Houston but would like to go North or West a couple of hours and get away from the flat country of Southeast Texas. Would even consider a lease in another state possibly. We are just looking for a place we can have a great time in Gods Wonderful Outdoors.

Mike,
Welcome to the site, club, and all that stuff! The only member I have ever “talked” with from Texas, is a Mason named Willie. He won a trip on our tv show. Not sure, but I think he is near Houston. I know he likes to hunt. You and him can’t be our only members in that big a$$ state!

Again, welcome. And good hunting!
Andrew

Welcome to the club!! Sorry I cant be of any service to you but maybe someone out there can.  Maybe if ya lived a little closer!! haha.

Funny you mention Willie, Andrew.

My wife and I just watched escape to the wild this morning on versus and watched Willie shoot his nice buck.  I really enjoy when they toy with people at the start of the show.  Willie’s reactions were priceless.  I have watched many hunting shows and seen better animals harvested, but I really like escape to the wild when they take good everyday people out and give them their dream.
I hope they keep up the good work on that.  My wife who doesnt like to watch hunting shows watches this one because she likes to hear about the hunter and how they got on the show.

Mike,

The USA will be doing a Houston Sporting Clay Shoot on April 24, 2010. This could be a good chance to interact with other unions and potentially pick up some good information on leasing property or even hunting with other union brothes or sisters.

Thank you for the welcome Brothers. Tim I will be making a motion at our next meeting that our local help sponsor the Houston Clay Shot and I am looking forward to going and following your advice. I think this will be a Great Shoot. I have also requested new phamplets to give out to our members so we can get more of us from the Great Republic of Texas on here. Andrew, if you think the state is big, wait untill you here some of our hunting and fishing stories.  Michael, I would love to move up a little closer to Maine, but as for now will have to settle for just a flight up. My vacation round trip airlines ticket to Washington state only cost me $230.00. I would not mind spending that plus a little more on a great hunting trip or if all else fails just ride up on one of our World Famous Jackalopes.

Mike C.
Thanks for all of your support in Houston.  Let us know if you need any help getting your group involved in the Houston Area Shoot.  It is going to be a great time.  One of the IBEW locals (Robert Siau and the boys from 479, a little SHOUT OUT) is bringing their Smoker and taking care of the food.  These events are really starting to bring all us good UNION folks back together, after some groups have tried to pull us apart.

All you others that have welcomed Mike Coker in, thanks for your support as well!!!!!!!!
