Boss,

We should be launching our new Turkey contest today so I expect to see you atop the leader board after opening day!

C’mon Saturday? Our season doesn’t open ‘till the 27th. And that just happens to be the day of my wife’s B’day, sooo.. I’ll have to wait another whole week (although I might get the “bird flew” and miss a day of work during the week, it happened a lot during goose season). I went opening day once, ‘bout 20 yrs ago on a wildlife area permit draw. She said I could go!? Haven’t gone opening weekend since. It’s just better that way. She loves to eat the wild birds, better than any store bought variety, just no huntin’ on (or near) her big day.

There still in winter flocks rite now, doesn’t look like an early greenup this year which hopefully means a better mid & late season. Located 3 diff flocks on public land so far,tho don’t know which I’ll be going after Sat.morning. More than likely the crowd of hunters out there will determine that. South Florida seasons been open couple weeks now, & I belive S.C. & Ala. opened this past weekend. For now the weather report looks favorable for the opener this weekend. Both bow & shotgun are still shooting a good pattern, boxes chalked up,slates sanded, mouth diaphrams broke in,dekes fluffed up, sittin on the headboard every morn at sunrise ,gobblin,spittin-drummin(i got it BAD!) Only down side is I’ve been outta work for several weeks now & fully expect a call B4 Sat. Just my luck

Leghold, if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy, just one of the sacrifices we have to make to get the kitchen pass for later on! Better yet, tell her you want to take her out for her B-day ,she just has to get up @ 3AM,LOL

There is a season to kill Turkeys? Can I use NAPALM?  RATS WITH WINGS!!!! Pigeons are their minions, and Crows are next!

Have my one tag, and the spot set up.
Good hunting brothers!
