Caught this thing last spring at the end of what was a pretty good walleye trip. Was using a 7 foot light action rod, slip-bobber, and a minnow. It was still very alive after the 45 minute trip home in the live well. Put it in the kids only fishing pond in my towns park to hang out with the other stuff that has magically showed up in it! So far it has been successfully landed by four “Snoopy” poles, and has broken about the same. Hope it is still there to do it again this year! And yes, I look as squirrelly as I act!

Ever tried Noodling for the fish?  Not so sure I’d use my arm as bait, but it would make for a funny story!

Tim,
Come on!!!  Anyone who would dance with a wild boar armed only with a knife shouldnt have a problem noodling for catfish!!  That story still cracks me up.

Tim,
Mike got to it before I could. I’ll second his motion! LOL. Most cats in my area don’t get real big in most waters, but there is some noodle water around. Have gone out on some “expeditions” with people that do it and have seen some 30 pound plus flatheads caught by hand. Haven’t done it myself because I smoke 2 packs a day, and weigh 170! The guys that I went with are the size of Big Bird, and had a fight on there hands with the fish I mentioned! Crazy stuff!

I think a turtle would be the least of the worries in your stomping grounds!
