In Virginia’s Blue Ridge mountains, we set on a low hanging branch over a bear trail with a knife in our teeth!  But seriously, when I was 16 I went camping on Old Rag mountain near Luray Caverns, and coming down the mountain I was out front and interrupted a bear eating blackberries alongside the trail.  The guys behind me said they couldn’t tell which one of us was running faster, but we were both heading in opposite directions.  It must have been a sight to see, but I don’t want to do that again!
