Dan,
Never really used sticks, because I’m usually close to something I can use for support. You did get me curious, so I did some looking. Check out these.

Predator Sniper Sticks (made in USA)
Bog Pods (made in USA)
Stoney Point (most are made in USA)

I’m sure there are more American producers. Was just a quick search. Hope it helps.

Just ordered the Stoney Point Safari Stix II Folding Shooting Stix from Amazon, $47 and change w/ free shipping.  Will write a review soon for those interested.  Thanks for the tip.

Been playing with the sticks and they seem pretty sturdy.  Just hold the top and let them go and they assemble themselves.  Quick and easy so far.  Haven’t shot with them yet.  Soon I hope and will let all know.

Come on Dan! It’s only a couple feet of snow to strugle with! Ha ha ha!
Checked ‘em out on Cabela’s web site. Look like they’ll get the job done. Did ya get the magnum or regular?

I own the Bog tripod. Can be adjusted for different height. I was first introduced when SCI sponsored me for an Axis doe and meat hog hunt on the Razor Ranch in Wauchula Florida. The owner of the ranch had a Bog tripod and let me use it for my hunts. After shooting and Axis doe at 160 yards and a meat hog at 80 yards. With using the Bog tripod I had to buy my own. I have tried several others nothing compares to the Bog

Ray,
Have read about those. They’re a little spendy, but look like you could use them for a jack handle if you had to!

Dan you made a good choice, but I am a little heavy handed and have been thru my fair share of shooting sticks.I found that while predator hunting one is constantly moving from set-up to set-up and when you open the sticks that little rubber connector on top will wear out and break.SOLUTION I bought a length of black elastic braid from a craft store.I then used close wrapping for about five turns and then lashed in to a finish in the middle, add a little taste of glue to the finised knot and DONE.Mine have stayed true and strong for 4 yrs now and I am very confident with them.
Best of luck
