Rich,
Don’t know much about Beretta, except that they make some very nice firearms. I also expect that with that reputation, they will make things right with you. It is a newer model, and might not have all the “bugs” worked out, or it could be a bad spring that lived long enough to pass quality control.
I bought a brand new S&W;629 Classic (44 mag.) and all six and a half inches of barrel had no rifling! They almost hand delivered me a new one, but would’nt let me keep the paper weight as a suvenier! Keep spare rollers on hand for one of my asault rifles to keep bolt gap constant. Have an Ithica model 37 (16 ga.) that is real finicky when you get in a hurry with it, but that’s just about any Ithica pump.

It is frustrating to have any firearm malfunction, especially a brand new one! Dust off the old Remington, and go drop some birds!
Beretta will take care of the rest!

Rich,

Sorry it came to that for you and I have to admit that I haven’t heard of a lot of problems coming from the Xtrema but it looks like you got the bad one in the bunch.  I actually sent a copy of your post to Beretta and they asked if I would get your name and info so they could follow-up with you directly to address your problem.  They take a lot of pride in great customer service so it’s disappointing to hear that you didn’t get good service from them either.  At a minimum, I want to let them know that they missed the mark on this one.

Take care,

Mike
