Just finished unpacking from our moose trip to the allagash region.  We had a succesful hunt although we were looking for something a little better than we took.  I was designated camera man, and took some wonderful video of the hunt.  I even managed to capture our permittee killing his moose.  This was my first experience hunting moose and I have one thing to say…...bring a big gun and place your shot well.  It took 3 shots from a 30.06 and he still lumbered off 50 yards.  I was amazed at the size of these animals.  He had a 42 inch spread and weighed just over 800 pounds (dressed out).  Here is a picture of the moose and all of us.  We are all USW members. 3 work at SAPPI, and I work for Huhtamaki.  Local 9 and local 449.

I am not sure how to get the video on this site….....any suggestions?  I have seen it done but dont know how.

Great Story and nice picture!  You may be able to upload it to youtube and then pull it from there to put on our USA website. If not, just put it on youtube and paste the link on the forums for us to click and view.  Shooting it with the camera can be the most successful part of the hunt, but like most hunters, I prefer to pull the tigger too!

WOW! That’d be a great time. That’s another one of my dream hunts! Maybe someday if I win the lottery. If I could only figure out a way to make a lot of money and work a lot less hours! LOL! Good story and Thanks for sharing Mike!
