New USA Sportsman, old electrician and hunter. I work on the road which should provide me with excellent opportunities to hunt and fish but schedules seem to negate most of that. grrr I have managed to get some fishing in up here in Minnesota. I reside in Ohio but not very much time spent there. It’s tough to travel and carry camo, guns, bows, etc. I want to see more outfitter/guide hunts with discounts for Union Sportsmen on the site as we move forward. My home state is Kentucky, thus the BigTurtle nickname after D. Boone.

Welcome BigTurtle!

If you ever want to hunt GIANT whitetails in Illinois here is a guide service you can bet your hat on ....Central Illinois Outfitters - CIO. You will see and be able to shoot more 150 + class bucks than you ever thought was possible! I have had several friends hunt with them that have done GREAT!. 2 weeks ago a buddy arrowed a 173 inch buck he said he saw at least 6 bucks around 200, the year before he and his boy arrowed a 158, and 164. I am heading there today FOR 5 DAYS, COME ON BIG BUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice buck in your profile shot. Sounds like a nice place to hunt. I’d like to hunt Michigan as well. I am looking for a small chunk of land here in Ohio as well so I can manage some decent bucks again. I really enjoy planting and managing my own land. Thanks for the info. I look forward to years of corresponding through these forums. grin

BigTurtle,
I just might be able to hook you up on that Michigan hunt. Let me know what you are looking for. I have plenty of property, and some dandy deer.
