Carbon arrows are definitely the way to go. Just make sure to buy a quality arrow like Eastn Axis or Gold Tip. You get what you pay for in arrows, if the price seems cheap that is ussually what you get…. a cheaply made arrrow. As for the Rage heads , I am not sold on all the hype. I know there are a ton of guys who have killed lots of deer using them, but, I saw first hand this past year how easily they can fail. My son shot a pretty nice 8 pointer with a cut on contact Wasp head with bleeder blades. He only shoots 43 pounds and he had almost a complete pass through with a 30 yard shot….......the buck went a mere twenty yards and expired. I shoot either the Muzzy 3 blade or the American Broadhead “Sonic Pro”. I don’t like the idea of a bunch of moving parts on my broadhead. When we feild dressed my sons buck we found a Rage 2 blade lodged in between the ribs inside the chest cavity. The head lodged in between the ribs on entry of the shot. I have also heard stories from other hunters who made what they thought were “good” shots on some pretty nice deer and either didn’t find them, or had terrible penetration or deflection issues on the deer they did recover…...........after long long bloodtrails the next day or later. Whatever you choose practice as much as possible and have fun!!!!!!!
