I’m not sure if any of you will even know what I’m talking about here, but I’ll give it a try. I’m looking for a “ZIP SLED”. If you grew up around watersports in the 80’s you probably know what I’m talking about. You use it to teach kids how to water ski. The boat rope hooks directly to the blue sled, and the sled has handles on it to hold on to. You start off on your belly then after you are comfortable with it you stand up and hold on. It teaches the kids to get used to standing behind the boat and being pulled. More than anything it is a confidence builder. I’d love to buy one for my 5 year old but they don’t make them any more. I’d even be interested to see if anyone out there even knows what I’m talking about. Thanks folks!

Ebay my friend….......just looked it up and there is one on there just like you described.  I dont think you are going to enjoy the bidding though.  It is already over 122 dollars.  Not sure what you are ready to pay for it.  The one on there looks like it was never used so I would assume its what you are wanting.  Happy bidding.

Thanks Maine Guy for lookin that up! It’s pry a little more than I wanted to spend right now for somthing like that but I’m definately considering it. I already bought a new tube and a new ski for this year. I’ll let you know how this turns out. For some reason I always forget to look stuff up on e-bay, DUH! And yes Bird, it’s very similar to that one. Only difference is that my squirrels don’t have tails that long! smile

Some of you may like to know that I found a zip sled for the boys! I strongly considered buying the one on e-bay for $125 but could not bring myself to do it. It worked out kinda funny though, my boss at work was at a rummage sale down in Lake of the Ozarks and found one. He paid a whopping $1 for it. After he paid for it he told the seller that one had just sold on e-bay for $125. He said the guy’s chin hit the floor! He bought it, brought it home, and we put it to use this weekend. Gage loved it! He took about 5 laps around the lake on it. I think with a little luck I can have him standing on it next weekend!

Isnt it funny sometimes how things work out?  Sounds like you got one heck of a deal…......when your boys get older you can maybe sell it and make some money or give it to someone like yourself who was looking for one.
