Hey guys, I’m looking to get a new bow. Does any one have one for sale, or possibly willing to sale? I am a girl =], so I would need about a 40-50 pound pull!! Just let me know what kind, and how much! Thanks.

Thanks, Chelsea

Hey Chelsea, you should go down to a bow shop and get measured for your draw length and include that in your search for a bow. Also if you plan to hunt with it you might want to look at the regulations for your state. I could be wrong but i think some states have a minimum draw weight that you can use to hunt big game. If your only going to use it at 3d shoots than the poundage shouldn’t matter as much. Hope your search goes well.

Chelsea,
Depending on how much you are looking to spend…....The Diamond razor’s edge is a great small frame bow. The draw weight can be adjusted from 35-60 pounds and the draw weight can be changed without the use of a bow press. The Diamond line of bows is made by BowTech which is one of the top of the line bow companies making bows today. My 14 year old son has a Razors edge and he absolutely loves it….for hunting and for 3-d shooting.

Chelsea,
you might want to look at http://www.auctionarms.com  They have three Barnett bows listed right now for around the $100 mark, new in box. This is an auction site, but bidding isn’t necessary on a lot of listings, they may show a purchase Now price, which some of these bows do. You can pull up a pic and info on the products and even ask the seller questions. It is a wonderful site with something for sale for any outdoor kinda’ person. Even if the current listings are not what your after, things are updated multiple times per day.

Hey just to update I looked at my old bow and my draw length is about 25-30, and my weight on my old bow was 60#. Im still looking, im being pretty picky =] but I recently used my boyfriends moms new Bowtech Captain, and loved it… so im keeping all my options open.  Im gonna use it for some hunting, but it will mostly be for the competitions around here. I will probably just use my other bow for hunting. I just need a good bow to shoot comps with! Thanks for the suggestions.. I will let yall know what happens, but in the mean time, if yall know of any bows let me know!! Chelsea.

Oh also, not looking to spend outrageously… im 19 and on a budget! haha. so im trying to find a good deal. also, whats the word on Rytera bows?? I found a 08 Rytera Bullet X. Just wondering how those do.

Hi Sister

Stay with name brands, try E-bay or Cabela’s. Cabela"s offers a Bill me later plan, that makes it easy to own expensive equipment. I have been hunting with a bow for over 10 years. I have used Fred Bear buck master 70# (great in tree stands, high in recoil, very light and short) and PSE Xforce HF 70# (very fast, no recoil, heavy and long).
They are both good bows I like the PSE is the best.
