Ultra Coatings just announced today that Ultra Bore Coat is now available.  This is a coating that you can apply to your rifle, pistol or muzzleloader barrel at home that will reduce copepr and powder fouling making cleaning easier.  I have tested this sutff in several rifles and all indications point to it working as advertised.  It’s not a bad deal for aroudn $ 50.00.

I just had my gun parkerized. does this need any special care? I always use Hoppes NO9.

No special care.  It just makes cleaning the bore easier and is supposed to prevent rust.
