Do we have any trappers with us??
I got all of my traps boiled an ready to go!
Bought some new #2 traps, leg holds.
Been out scouting for some new spots.  A farmer not far from me said I could run a line at his place, seams to be having a problem with coons see how we make out.

A mouse trap is a good start!!
I boil my traps in walnuts shells, it takes the shine off of the steel. It makes the steel dark an hard to see!!
I have a local guy that I buy my stuff from but I’m sure that if you look on line someone has stuff to buy.

mauser it is something I always wanted to do growing up.Now I have some access to some ground that would be decent for that I dont have the time !!! To busy with the whole goose guide thing, but a millwright out here I know traps a bit I know he took 19 cats last year and thats pretty good for Kansas plus a few beaver and a ton of coons.

Good luck with your lines this year and I hope the fur prices come up for you.

I’ve trapped most of my life, an I like getting out in the woods as much as I can so in the winter all of the horse stuff is done it gets
  me outside.
Pelt prices are down alot from what they use to be, I rember a large coon hide would fetch up to 50 to 55 dollars but now
about 15 to 20.  THANKS TO THE TREE HUGGERS.
I’ve cought beaver before but the one I like the best is fox an coon.
