This guy needs a home.  Sounds like a great dog, sounds like he will make a great family dog and put some weight on him and hey may make a great hunter. Below was copied from petfinder.com.

If Bandit’s situation doesn’t pull at your heartstrings, we don’t know what would! Bandit is a five year GSP with lovely markings who came to us extremely emaciated and heartworm positive. If any a GSP deserves a second chance, it’s him! Bandit is very calm for a five year old, and is a real lover! He gets along just fine with other dogs, but he prefers people and just wants to be near you and be petted. We will treat his heartworm, but the associated costs are high. We’re hoping that some kind-hearted folks will give us a hand by helping with the effort. Not everyone can adopt, or foster, or volunteer, but if you’d donate a small amount to help Bandit he’d be so very grateful! We are a 501c3, so donations are tax deductable.
