Well, as promised…...here are my pictures for the 2011 season. Dad is still hunting so if he gets lucky I will have an update later on. As most of you are aware I have had some problems with my shoulder for some time now and it really started to act up before hunting season. My surgery was scheduled for the 16th so I had to change my vacation to the week prior. the week sucked to put it mildly. It was in the 60’s all week. The deer werent moving on the bog so I had to spend alot of time in the woods. I missed a nice one because I hit a tree and then I was down to the last 2 days before the surgery when this guy came by my stand just before sundown. Not really what I was looking for but I surely wasnt going to squabble at that point. I just wanted to use my tag and put some “groceries” in the freezer.
The deer in the canoe was my good buddy Jim’s. This guy is as die hard as I am and he took this nice little 8 point off our property the same week.
If you havent yet tagged out, I wish you all luck. With thanksgiving upon us, I am so very thankful for many things, the biggest being my union job. I am out on short term disability that has been negotiated in our contract to pay me while I am out. I for one am not taking that for granted. So many people just dont understand.
