Yes I watch the show if I miss Sunday morning I catch it Wednesday night or DVR it.
I like the show. It is cool how it combines our love of nature with union brotherhood, though the out takes are a bit corny.
I think it is great that the unions sponsor a hunting and fishing show.
Yes I would like to submit a app. for a dream hunt! Are you crazy?!
Thanks
Thanks 9292mtstew. We really appreciate your feedback and we’ll definitely take your thoughts on the outtakes into consideration. By the way, if you didn’t see it on the USA homepage, there is an Escape to the Wild “Apply Now” button. It will take you to the details and applicaiton for season 3. Thanks.
I enjoy the show quite a bit. I use the DVR to tape the ones I miss. It is nice to see “average Joes” enjoying themselves in the outdoors. Unions should be more involved in hunting and fishing shows. Union members statistically spend their time off hunting and fishing, so it is a natural fit. I will be submitting an application for a chance to win a dream hunt… I need to dig out some pictures and a video first….
I watch Escape to the Wild on Sunday mornings along with a good cup of coffee, except when I am at the deer lease. I enjoy watching union members in the field, I can relate to that person, it is a union thing. I watched the Sheet Metal Worker bow hunt for deer, I know how he feels, and the Electrician hunt ducks in the Central Flyway I am proud for them. I worked side by side with craftsman just like them, to me that is awesome.
I think it is great that labor is taking a larger role in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. Labor needs this type of program so we can not only share our experiences in the field with others but to be able to interact with others from the different unions from all over this country and Canada. I am kind of excited about it all, I just became a charter member and looking forward to the benefits that are there for me.
Yes I would love to fill out an application for a dream hunt. Where is my application?

Love the show! I have a season pass on Directv, this way I can watch whenever. I agree with the rest. The best part is not only seeing other union members but actually not having their union membership hidden. Which is the norm for the media and union members. There is really nothing about the show that I don’t like. I already have an application for the dream hunt, thanks.
#1 I watch it when I can Dvr it most times.
#2 Love the show. It shows people like me going on a dream hunt. The show exhaults the mebership in the union, and many shows have everyone congradulating the winner showing solidarity and fellowship among our brothers and sisters. It also is something different fishing upland deer big game not the same thing different location.
#3 I Feel that unions support their members be it hunting, fishing, peronal issues, just need a friend, or general support like true brothers and sisters.
#4 Nah not at the moment I’m faily happy at the moment being the VP and getting a second shift rolling.
yes i watch the show loyally. i set up the series to be recorded on the dvr so i can’t miss a show. I think it is an awsome thing you do for the HARD working man or woman. these people are some of best at what they do and deserve to get a little break from the everyday grind to fulfill a life long dream in the outdoors. I think it is great and keep up the great work i’m sure it will only get better!!
I would love to watch the show, but unfortunatly the cable company in our area does not have the networks. I think it is great that the unions sponsor a sporting show as so many of our members hunt and fish. I would submit a application to go on a dream hunt, I have done it with Buckmasters, and Weatherby guns.
Thank you all very much for your responses. Your feedback will really help us improve the show each season. If you haven’t already found it, there is an Escape to the Wild “Apply Now” button on the USA homepage. Just scroll down and it will be on the left side of the screen. The first four trips have an early deadline of April 15th, so get your applications in as soon as possible. The deadline for the other 6 trips is June 1, 2008. Good Luck!
I guess I’ll have to wait for something to happen that I can write a compelling story about. I would like to watch the show also but I don’t have the channel either. I thank my lucky stars and God that I don’t have something that happened to me that I had to overcome, other than raising two girls and staying married for 38 years, and working on heavy construction for 37 years and coming out with all my fingers and no broken bones, other than asbestosis. This is not written tongue in cheek or nothing I’m just happy with the way it turned out. I’ll watch it when it comes available. Great job
Escape to the wild is one of my favorite shows. Like some of the others I DVR it, but I have watched all the episodes so far. The fact is that Union members are in the minority in general and in the hunting and fishing community in particular so I think this show is great in the way it portrays Union members as just like everyone else, just that we belong to a fraternity that looks out for us and our families. I think a lot of non-Union people think we are lazy, overpaid liberals and there is nothing better to break that stereotype than showing them what we really are-just like them. I’m just waiting for turkey season to get here so I can get some video footage of myself and apply for this season!
I have not seen the show, my cable provider does not offer that network
Therefore I can not say yes or no , I am sure I would like it if I got to see it
I think it is a great thing that it is union supported
Yes I would love a chance at winning a hunt
I try to watch “Escape to the Wild” every Sunday morning when reading the paper and drinking some coffee. The show is the highlight of my weekends, when I’m not out hunting or fishing. I really enjoy the personal stories and the great hunting and fishing trips the union members go on. Having union sponsors for a hunting and fishing show is a great way to showcase the skill and pride that union workers insteal in thier work and recreation habits. Yes I would like to submit a application for a dream hunt!
It just so happens that I was watching the show as I was posting. I try and watch all the episodes. I have entered my name in the hat for the last several hunts. No luck yet, but I will continue to try. My dream hunt would be a red stag in New Zealand. I really think the idea of being able to talk with brothers and sisters from every walk of union life is fantastic. I just love this site, I visit almost every day. Thanks
