So I finished the M1A project. Deer season is in a month, and I think my Dad’s old .30-06 is next on the tinker list. I have gotten 3/4 inch-100 yd groups, but most of them are around 1-1/4”. I know that is “good enough”, but I always want more.
Here is my question/dilemma. It’s a Steven’s 110E manufactured before I was born (‘72) would be my guess. $$$ wise it is not worth much, but means lot to me. I wanna do a barrel swap (22” heavy/bull) and maybe a laminate thumb-hole stock. Can I get away with using a barrel and stock for the Savage 110? Looking at the two guns, they appear identical but I know that could be where similarities stop.

Help me out Brothers!!!
