I will be trying my hand at fishing for flounder or whatever this year on vacation in Carolina Beach, NC. Any tips on what to use for bait, what’s the best method, time of day, etc.?

Will do…I have a charter trip scheduled too, but wanted to do some fishing on my own while down there.

Perry,
Being landlocked in South Dakota, I can’t help. Good luck anyway, and if you ever find yourself any where near Sioux Falls, SD or Sioux City, IA gimme a shout. Welcome to the club!

Well, no flounder but caught some croaker, kingfish and “baby sharks” from the pier. The charter didn’t work out well either…evidently we didn’t have our sea legs. Caught 3 nice spanish mackerel before we had to go back.

Perry,
Sorry the sea legs weren’t with ya. Off shore is some big water! You did catch some fish, and that’s the main thing! Thanks for reporting back to all of us, and making me jealous!
