I am a new member of USA, I am a 17 year member of IBEW local#1 in St. Louis Mo.. I am also a gunsmith by trade working out of my shop here at my home since I have been unemployed for quite some time now. I build more custom bolt action rifles and 1911 pistols than anything else. I try not to do to much repair work as my love is for precession weapons, not broken unmaintained guns. I hunt for anything that runs or flies and is edible. I enjoy fishing but not to the degree of hunting. I hope to gain some knowledge of other places to hunt and possible new quarry with the help of this site. I am happy to see a labor based sportsman organization unrelated to the standard political B.S. . Thank you for all that went through the work of creating this organization !

If anyone has a problem with a particular weapon just ask, I may not be able to help without being to examine the firearm in person but I could give some tips on what to look for. I only come to this site maybe once a week so if you have a question just check back in a week. If not a question I do enjoy talking firearms particularly U.S. made firearms, I not one for foreign made arms. We are losing jobs in this country every day, I ask all of you before buying a glock or taurus please look at Smith and Wesson, F.N. USA., Colt, Remington, Ect . We make the best of everything here at home why put money in someone else’s pocket. There are some people that just cannot understand the meaning of Made In The U.S.A. I do. I hope and pray more start for our country’s sake.

You brothers and sisters have a great day hope you all go shooting soon.

Welcome James,
After reading your first 2 posts, I can say that you are going to fit in just fine!!  It will be a treat to be able to reference your knowledge in gunsmithing.  Take care.

James,

I also want to welcome you to the club and I am really glad we have a resource to count on for some information for our members and for me personally.  I know you sent a note to our Executive Director to make sure it was cool to post on here about your business and that was a professional move.  Please continue to post and also let the folks know about your custom gun building.

Thanks,

Mike
