I would like to find a Gun Club In Oregon around the Portland Metro area that doesn’t require me to be a NRA member.
One that will Take my USA membership and Carry Permit and let me join. Does anyone know of such a club or are there any of you that would be willing to find a club and all submit membership together so we can get our brand out there.

A friend of mine was mistaken for a turkey on opening day 2009. He was shot in the back and died in the field, doing what he loved. Should we not implement proper target identification courses as responsible sportsmen? I mean MANDATORY. Evidently some hunters are going into the field very uneducated. This was an archery fatality by the way.
                                                          In loving memory,
Irrevocable decisions

Maybe you have seen this or maybe you havent but it is a must see for all hunters. I must warn you that its 20 minutes long and very very powerful because it has the actual 911 call about 7 minutes into the video.

Maybe there are some gun safety people out there that can use this. It really shows the aftermath of making a poor decision and also how dangerous it is hunting close to dark.

http://www.myoutdoortv.com/explorer-the-u.s./maine.html

when the page comes up you may have to scroll sideways to find the “irrevocable decision” video

Who Enjoy’s Sporting Clays?

Union Brothers and sisters,

Who enjoys taking a day in the field with a shotgun and shooting sporting clays? We are holding a USA Sporting Clay event in Kansas City on October 23rd and another in Puyallup, WA on Nov 12th. http://www.unionsportsmen.org/index.php/conservation/category/usa_sporting_clays_shoot_targets_puget_sound_area

If you are interested in joining us and want to bring a team, let a regional coordinator know. Also, if you or your local are interested in hosting a USA Sporting Clay shoot for all the union members in your area in 2010 help us put one together. Our mission is to make this club fun, energetic and a chance to get together with other union members from other locals.

Anonymous Log-In?

I questioned (in another forum) why there was an asterisk behind my log-in name and Trevor told me I was anonymous. I thought since I was “logged in” I couldn’t be. Can’t find a button to change this status. Maybe it’s in the Forum Rules and Regs… OH wait, I still can’t access that page (still another forum). Could someone tell me how to fix this? There’s lots of things I don’t want to be…. but anonymous isn’t one of them.
