It’s truly an honor to host Brotherhood Outdoors.  There is just something right about this show.  The guests are hardworking Americans who share a love of the outdoors and have gone the extra mile in their community, at home or on the job.

  

Noted outdoorsman Tom Ackerman brings a lifetime of outdoor experience and a passion for sharing it with others to Brotherhood Outdoors, a new TV series of the Union Sportsmen's Alliance. He's no stranger to the USA or the Union way of life, having served as the host of the USA’s Escape to the Wild series for three seasons, surprising hardworking Union members with once-in-a-lifetime hunting and fishing adventures.

He was also the long-time host of The New American Sportsman on ESPN and shared the outdoor sporting experience with some of the biggest newsmakers of the day including NFL great Tony Gonzales, Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker, country legend Hank Williams Jr. and World Series MVP Josh Beckett.

But Tom doesn’t just play a sportsman on TV. He developed one of the most prestigious and successful fly-fishing schools in the country for L.L. Bean and launched his own travel arrangement company, Classic Connections, in Maine. Tom spends his free time hiking, camping, hunting and fishing with his family.
